Gitisi TSS Hosts School Safety and Mental Health Awareness Session

Gitisi TSS hosted an important school-wide awareness session in collaboration with the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB) and the Police Security Department, where all students received guidance on how to prevent violence, promote safety, and protect themselves in daily life. The session also emphasized the importance of mental health, encouraging learners to seek support, communicate openly, and prioritize their emotional well-being. This joint initiative strengthened students’ understanding of personal security, responsible behavior, and psychological care, demonstrating the school’s commitment to fostering a safe, supportive, and healthy learning environment for every learner.

Gitisi TSS Highlights Exam Preparation and New Multipurpose Hall Progress

On 09 November 2025, Gitisi TSS held a productive parents’ meeting aimed at strengthening preparations for the upcoming national examinations that will conclude the 2025–2026 academic year. During the session, parents and school leaders discussed strategies to support candidates academically, emotionally, and morally to ensure excellent performance. The meeting also highlighted ongoing school improvements, with attendees expressing great satisfaction about the multipurpose hall currently under construction, a facility that will enhance student recreation, talent development, and school events. This collaborative gathering reaffirmed the strong partnership between parents and the school in shaping students’ success and improving the learning environment at Gitisi TSS.

Congratulations to L3 FBO students, the champions of the Inter-Classes Debate Final

7th November 2025

Competing under the motion “This house believes that traditional textbooks should be replaced entirely by digital resources,” the L3 FBO team impressed judges and the entire audience with their strong arguments, quick thinking, and confident presentation. Facing the L5 Software Development team, they demonstrated excellent research skills, teamwork, and persuasive communication that earned them the winning title. The event, moderated by Teacher Viateur and opened by the Head Teacher, highlighted the school’s commitment to critical thinking and public-speaking development. Gitisi TSS celebrates the hard work of all participants and proudly applauds the L3 FBO team for their outstanding victory.

Gitisi TSS achieved 100% of its community service goals, fulfilling all commitments set by the school’s Intore groups

On this day, the school carried out a special outreach mission to support a vulnerable resident, Umubyeyi Eduardine, through impactful activities aimed at improving her living conditions. The work included building a house, installing interior essentials, and teaching local residents how to create and maintain a kitchen garden. After completing the activities, the team engaged with community members and the beneficiary, who expressed deep gratitude and happiness for the support provided. Students, especially those from Masonry and Culinary Arts Level 1, proudly celebrated the successful accomplishment of their responsibilities, emphasizing that such community-centered initiatives play a vital role in uplifting and empowering citizens.

By sharing milk together, leaders and students celebrated health as the foundation for concentration, academic success, and overall well-being. Gitisi Technical Secondary School (Gitisi TSS) was filled with excitement and laughter as the school hosted the energetic Gen-Z Comedy Team during their #GenZComedySchoolTour. The visit created an unforgettable atmosphere of happiness, humor, and positivity among students and staff. More than just comedy, the event celebrated youth talent, creativity, and inspiration, with performances that reminded students of the power of joy and teamwork in building confidence and motivation. To make the occasion even more memorable, the Gen-Z team rewarded several talented students with gifts such as bags, T-shirts, and caps, recognizing their creativity and active participation while encouraging them to keep nurturing their talents and pursuing their dreams with passion.

Gitisi TSS marked the opening of the 2025–2026 Academic Year with a spiritually uplifting Sabbath Concert featuring the KuganaYesu Family Choir from Gahogo SDA Church. The event brought together students, staff, and visitors in an atmosphere of worship, gratitude, and unity, celebrating both faith and the joy of learning. Through heartfelt songs and inspiring messages, the concert motivated students to embrace positivity, hope, and dedication as they began a new academic journey. School representatives expressed appreciation to the KuganaYesu Family Choir for their ministry and encouraged students to start the year with renewed commitment, enthusiasm, and excellence.

At the end of a spiritually uplifting Week of Prayer at Gitisi TSS, a total of 41 students made a life-changing decision to be baptized, publicly declaring their faith and commitment to Christian values. In a heartfelt ceremony, each of them received a baptismal certificate, symbolizing their new beginning and unity in Christ. This special occasion marked a powerful moment of growth within the school community, as the newly baptized students were warmly welcomed as members of Gitisi TSS, embracing a shared journey rooted in love, faith, and spiritual transformation.
